EFNOTE 3X vs Roland TD-27KV2

Two very different paths to a great mid-to-high-end kit: the EFNOTE 3X leans on acoustic-style shells and real-feel cymbals, while the Roland TD-27KV2 brings three flagship digital pads and Roland's deep module.

Our verdict

Pick the EFNOTE 3X if cymbal feel and a compact acoustic look matter most to you - its real two-piece hi-hat and full-size cymbals are a joy to play. Pick the Roland TD-27KV2 if you want maximum expressiveness and recording power: the digital snare, hi-hat, and ride plus the TD-27 module and 28-channel USB interface make it the more capable studio and performance tool, at a higher price.
